This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.
Artist's Description
Dia De Los Muertos, a huge holiday in Mexico is celebrated on November 1 and 2 and sometimes October 31 as well. Although an apparent cousin to the American holiday of Halloween, Dia is a joyful celebration involving family and friends gathering to pay respects and to remember friends and family members who have died.
During this holiday one will see altars, called ofrendas, tall skeleton-like figures dressed in brightly colored costumes called catrinas, and brightly decorated skulls. Here you see a single brightly painted skull sitting on the malecon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in the Bay of Banderas. The skull is surrounded by marigolds, the official flower of this holiday.
